Diving permit for Grundlsee

The Grundlsee is owned by the Österreichische Bundesforste AG (ÖBF) and therefore every diver in the Grundlsee must obtain a diving permit! Diving without permission may result in a complaint or lawsuit of the Österreichische Bundesforste AG! In Grundlsee there is no exception of permit requirement! With the permit, diving in Grundlsee is free, but of course always on your own responsibility!

The diving permit is issued by means of the so-called "DiveCard" (not to be confused with diving insurance products of the same name!).

The ÖBF DiveCard costs 20 € per year and is valid for 1 year from the date of issue (e.g. issue on 12 June 2021 - the next DiveCard will be needed from 13 June 2022).

The DiveCard is a diving permit that once purchased is valid for ALL lakes owned by the Österreichische Bundesforste AG. E.g. Attersee, Traunsee, Grundlsee, Gosausee, Hallstattsee, Wolfgangsee, etc.

More information about the DiveCard can be found at www.arge-tauchen.at

As an official sales point, we can sell the DiveCard directly to all divers!

The income from the DiveCard secures the very inexpensive and thus almost free diving in Austria! Please do your part to free diving in Austria - we all benefit from it and do not wish for further diving restrictions or even bans!

Thank you for NOT diving WITHOUT a DiveCard!
